Rainbow printing
Both sides of ID card are covered with security grids printed in rainbow.

Special line arrangement
Security grids of three colours.

Data, face image and signature
Data, face image and signature are laser engraved.

Micro lettering
Repeating micro lettering “LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA” forms an independent line at the top of the card.

A diffractive optical element with kinematic effect.

Ultraviolet inks
Invisible design element and text “LIETUVOS RESPUBLIKA” fluoresce under UV light.

Optically variable inks
Elements in optically variable inks (OVI) change colour when viewed at different angles.

Card surface
Surface of a card has a transparent positive and negative embossing.

Contactless chip
A contactless chip stores biometric data.
The face image in the chip is the same as the one engraved and is stored in JPEG2000 format.

Certificates for document inspection systems enabling certification of devices to read fingerprints stored on the contactless chip are issued on the basis of bilateral agreements.

Contact chip
The contact chip provides means for using the card online, because it complies with specifications of the European Citizen Card and contains both – a certificate for an online identification, and a qualified certificate for e-signature.

Multi layer image (MLI)
Secondary image of card holder in multi layer image (MLI) changes into country code “LTU” when tilted.

A barcode is engraved into a card.

Identity Card number
Card number of eight digits.
